Here's what you'll be doing on the day of the Intensive Course.
session 1 | TMUA Strategy & Syllabus: PAPER 1 | 10:00 am – 12:30 pm (uk time)
In this morning, we'll cover Paper 1 of the TMUA in detail. This will go through all of the Maths knowledge you will need to perform well on this paper, as well as applying the knowledge to practice questions. This will help you get a feel for the exam as a whole.
session 2 | LUNCH | 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM (uk time)
Time for a lunch break after an intensive morning of learning!
session 3 | TMUA Paper 2: PART 1 | 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm (uk time)
Paper 2 of the TMUA looks similar to Paper 1, but the questions are scenario based and much longer. We spend part one covering numbers and the logic of arguments, along with counterexample questions, to get you prepared for this Paper of the exam.
session 4 | Break | 3:00 PM - 3:15 PM (uk time)
After another brain-tingling session, it's time for a quick break to recharge!
session 5 | TMUA Paper 2: PART 2 | 3:15 pm – 5:30 pm (uk time)
Part 2 of the Paper 2 section covers how to successfully approach logic questions and constructing proof questions. After covering these two subtopics, you'll be a strong position to continue your preparation and score highly on the exam.
session 6 | Debrief & Q&A | 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM (uk time)
Here is when you can ask any questions you have built up over the day (although you can ask questions if and when you think of them through the rest of the course!). Your expert tutor will be available until 6PM so you can pick their brains for last-minute tips and advice.
Here's what you'll be doing on the half-day Booster Course.
SESSION 1 | TMUA PAPER 1 | 10am – 11:30pm (uk time)
During the first part of the course, we'll work through practice questions from Paper 1, covering topics such as equations, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, kinematics, and sketching graphs.
session 2 | LUNCH | 11:30AM - 12:00PM (uk time)
Time for a lunch break after an intensive morning of learning!
session 3 | TMUA PAPER 2 | 12:00pm - 2:30pm (uk time)
Time to start practicing questions from Paper 2, focusing on logic of arguments, negation of statements, mathematical proofs, and uncategorised questions.
session 4 | Debrief and Q&A | 2:30PM - 3:00PM (uk time)
